Executive Summary

This award provides additional support for the University Achievement Awards (UAA). This investment by the University was made after the events of August 2017 and authorized Undergraduate Admission to provide UAA awards to an additional cohort of up to 50 students. The funding covers the projected costs of UAA for this new cohort through all four years of their anticipated undergraduate careers: approximately $750,000 per year for four years.

Current Status: Completed

Achievements

This award was reviewed by the PAC in September 2020, August 2021, and October 2022. It was determined that the distribution of funds occurred as planned and finished on time. This funding contributed to an increase in enrollment of underrepresented students for the class entering UVA in the fall of 2018.
